New York City, 2013. A young bisexual man enters an interracial relationship. In the midst of the Sandusky trial, against the backdrop of a cicada summer, he comes to terms with his own childhood trauma.
Cicada
Cicada world premiered at the BFI London Film Festival in 2021 and went on to be acquired by Strand Releasing for North American rights. It was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best First Screenplay and released theatrically globally in the Fall of 2021.
